We were in Kauai for 17 days and it was really hard to leave! Life there is so simple, relaxing and everywhere you look you see the ocean. To top it off many of our friends and family came to join us for our wedding and it was an absolute BLAST hanging out with everyone in paradise. This needs to happen more.

The week started out with hiking, relaxing on the beach and eating as many exotic fruits as possible.

The reception had amazing food and a passion fruit cake.
The next day we celebrated again at my parents rental house with brunch and swimming in the ocean. Here I am hanging out with my new friend Roxy. She is a local hawaiian dog, she loves coconut and is a pro swimmer, I wanted to bring her home with me.
This was a perfect way to start 2012. :)
Congratulations Anna-Lisa!! You and your husband look so happy together! What a dream trip and a fantastic way to start the year. It reminds me that I need a trip to the beach soon :o)
