Maira Kelman

Many months ago I went around San Francisco with my brother to different museums. Most of the paintings and art pieces I saw that day are a distant memory, but I can't stop thinking about one show we saw in particular.  At the Jewish Museum we saw a collection of Maira Kelman's work and I was blown away. I had never heard of her but her work has been featured on the cover of the New Yorker, she has children's books and much more.  Her style is so relatable and fun. I spent a long time going from painting to painting which is something I rarely do in a museum. If you have a chance to go to her show I recommend it. Or look at her children's books, they are amazing!
