Oh Goodness...



Did I mention? I'm training for a 1/2 marathon... That fact that marathon is in the title scares me. And it's half...half of a race that people run from Athens to Marathon, Greece. I mean really, that sounds like a long run. The scary thing is, before I signed up for the race I couldn't even run one mile without stopping. Well, I guess that's not quite true. If I ran at a pace that I can walk at (i.e. not fast), then I could run the mile, but even then it was hard.

Now I'm running three times a week. My knees are a little sore, and I still can't seem to enjoy the entire run, but I can actually run 3 miles without stopping (I'm not counting the times I have to stop due to traffic lights)! This weekend for my long run I'm running up to 5.5 miles, and I'm not sure I'll run it non-stop, but I don't care. It really is the journey that counts, right?

  1. GO ANNA-LISA!!! I think you will soon get into the swing of things and feel really accomplished! I have always hated running (constant pain), so glad I found biking so my knees don't hurt :)
